The Doane Grant Thornton Velvet Gala

This evening brings our community together for a great cause with incredible performances from Atlantic Ballet artists, good food, and the chance to connect with people who care deeply about the future of our region.

But the real reason we gather each year is much bigger than one night.

Funds raised at the Gala helps make sure that kids in our community don’t miss out on life-changing performing arts programs simply because their family can’t afford it. Programs like Arts After School, Ballet in the Schools, Dance, Musical Theatre, and the Indigenous Mentorship Program give hundreds of kids a safe, creative place to learn, grow, and build confidence.

The Gala also helps provide hundreds of complimentary performance tickets each year to families across Greater Moncton through organizations like United Way, MAGMA, CAFI, Crossroads for Women, Harvest House, and Big Brothers Big Sisters, opening the door to live arts experiences many families simply couldn’t afford otherwise.
